Bandai Museum

A spot that stimulates curiosity through a fusion of manufacturing and play

The museum displays many exhibits that will tickle the curiosity of both adults and children. At the entrance, a life-size bust of the RX-78 Gundam stands 5.6 meters tall, welcoming visitors with its pilot, Amuro Rei.

The museum’s carefully selected exhibits include a toy collection of approximately 7,000 items, mainly from Europe, and a collection of 20,000 Japanese toys from the Edo period to the present day.

Also on display are some 3,000 items from Edison’s world-famous collection of inventions, as well as valuable items such as the Pendenprinces, one of Japan’s largest steam cars (built in England in 1919). Its extensive contents are full of opportunities for new discoveries and creativity.

The “Dream of ZAKU” and the approximately 2 meter long “1/144 White Base” are must-see exhibits for Gundam fans.

The Bandai Museum also holds regular events. Fun events such as quiz projects and craft workshops are sometimes held on holidays.

This is a rare opportunity to experience the fascination of toys, so be sure to visit.
